A multichannel reflectometer for edge density profile measurements at the ICRF antenna in ASDEX upgrade [PDF]
A multichannel reflectometer will be built for the new three-straps ICRF antenna of ASDEX Upgrade (AUG), to study the density behavior in front of it.

A Variable Structure Control Scheme Proposal for the Tokamak à Configuration Variable
Fusion power is the most significant prospects in the long‐term future of energy in the sense that it composes a potentially clean, cheap, and unlimited power source that would substitute the widespread traditional nonrenewable energies, reducing the geographical dependence on their sources as well as avoiding collateral environmental impacts. Although

High-order coupling of shear and sonic continua in JET plasmas
A recent model coupling the shear-Alfvén and acoustic continua, which depends strongly on the equilibrium shaping and on elongation in particular, is employed to explain the properties of Alfvénic activity observed on JET plasmas below but close to the ...

Observation of confined current ribbon in JET plasmas [PDF]
we report the identification of a localised current structure inside the JET plasma. It is a field aligned closed helical ribbon, carrying current in the same direction as the background current profile (co-current), rotating toroidally with the ion ...

Characterising text mining: a systematic mapping review of the Portuguese language
Documents written in natural language constitute a major part of the artefacts produced during the software engineering life cycle. Studies indicate that more than 80% of enterprise data is stored in some sort of unstructured form, mainly as text. Therefore, the growth of user‐generated content, especially from social media, provides a huge amount of ...

Optimal laser focusing for positron production in laser–electron scattering
Laser–electron beam collisions that aim to generate electron–positron pairs require laser intensities I ≳ 10 ^21 W cm ^−2 , which can be obtained by focusing a 1-PW optical laser to a spot smaller than 10 μ m.

αCGRP knockout (CGRP KO) mice were utilized to analyze synaptic transmission and pain behaviors 6 h after formalin injection. Synaptic potentiation at the parabrachio‐amygdaloid (PB‐CeC) pathway was drastically attenuated, and bilateral tactile allodynia was significantly suppressed in the CGRP KO mice compared with their wild‐type mice.
