Exploration of the interactions between mycoviruses and Fusarium graminearum

2020
In this review, we discuss recent studies of the interaction between Fusarium graminearum viruses (FgVs) and the fungal host, Fusarium graminearum. Comprehensive transcriptome and proteome analyses have shown changes in the expression of host genes in response to infection by diverse FgVs.

Genetic Diversity of Fusarium Graminearum in Europe and Asia

European Journal of Plant Pathology, 2004
The biodiversity and phylogeny of Fusarium graminearum isolates originating from different geographical areas were analyzed using isozyme variation, β-tubulin and IGS sequences. Geographically distinct groups of isolates originating from different areas of the Russian Federation, China, Germany and Finland were studied.

[Inhibition of Fusarium graminearum by silver nanoparticles].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2017
Silver nanoparticles were prepared by chemical reduction. Fusarium graminearum was used as the test strain. To study the inhibition of F. graminearum by silver nanoparticles, we studied the activities of protective enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT), and the contents of osmotic adjustment substances soluble protein,

Inheritance of resistance to Fusarium graminearum in wheat

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 2000
To study the inheritance of resistance in wheat to Fusarium graminearum, six resistant cultivars from China were crossed to two susceptible cultivars. The parents and their progenies were evaluated in the greenhouse for resistance to the spread of scab within a spike.

Conidial germination in the filamentous fungus Fusarium graminearum

Fungal Genetics and Biology, 2008
The ascomycetous fungus Fusarium graminearum is an important plant pathogen causing Fusarium head blight disease of wheat and barley. To understand early developmental stages of this organism, we followed the germination of macroconidia microscopically to understand the timing of key events.

Biosynthesis of fusarielins in Fusarium graminearum

2013
Polyketide synthase 9 (PKS9) is one of the 15 identified polyketide synthase (PKS) genes in Fusarium graminearum. The gene is coregulatedalong with five neighboring genes by a single transcription factor (TF). An overexpression of the transcription factor led toproduction of three novel fusarielins, F, G and H.Fusarielin H is the predicted end product ...

Dipeptide transporters in Fusarium graminearum

2013
Fungi have evolved different transport mechanisms in order to utilize both inorganic and organic nitrogen sources because nitrogen availability often is one of the limiting factors in pathogenic processes. In this study we have characterized four di/tripeptide transporters in the necrotrophic plant pathogen Fusarium graminearum Fusarium that causes ...

Identification and characterisation of hydrophobins from Fusarium graminearum

2006
Fungal infection of barley and malt, particularly by strains of the genus Fusarium, is known to be a direct cause of undesirable beer gushing. Gushing is a phenomenon in which beer spontaneously, without agitation, vigorously over foams out from the package immediately on opening.
