Engineered Yarrowia lipolytica inducing gene silencing confers control ability against gray mold in plants

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
Engineered the plant‐colonizing yeast Yarrowia lipolytica to produce and deliver double‐stranded RNAs targeting key genes of the gray mold fungus Botrytis cinerea produced a ‘living factory’ that continuously synthesizes and releases gene‐silencing molecules on plant surfaces, effectively suppressing the pathogen.

Global Poultry Feed Protein Sources: Trends, Challenges, and Sustainability Perspectives Using FAOSTAT Data

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global poultry industry is one of the fastest‐growing livestock sectors, with worldwide chicken stocks exceeding 32 billion heads and meat production surpassing 144 million tonnes in 2024 (FAOSTAT, 2026). Conventional protein sources, particularly soybean meal (SBM) and fishmeal, underpin most commercial poultry diets but face mounting ...

Fusarium temperatum, a new species from maize closely related to Fusarium subglutinans

open access: yes, 2010
A novel biological species, Fusarium temperatum J. Scauflaire et F. Munaut was described within the Gibberella fujikuroi species complex (GFSC), on basis of a robust polyphasic approach.
