Baseline Regional Cholinergic Denervation Predicts Cognitive Trajectories in Moderate Parkinson Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive decline is a disabling and variable feature of Parkinson disease (PD). While cholinergic system degeneration is linked to cognitive impairments in PD, most prior research reported cross‐sectional associations. We aimed to fill this gap by investigating whether baseline regional cerebral vesicular acetylcholine transporter ...

A novel motion key frame extraction and video stream classification based on reinforcement learning and feature fusion

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science and Engineering
In order to solve the problem of missing detection and false detection caused by the inaccuracy of motion feature extraction in the existing video key frame extraction algorithms, a reinforcement learning and feature fusion for key frame extraction ...

An FPGA-Based Ultra-High-Speed Object Detection Algorithm with Multi-Frame Information Fusion

open access: yesSensors, 2019
An ultra-high-speed algorithm based on Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for hardware implementation at 10,000 frames per second (FPS) under complex backgrounds is proposed for object detection.

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

Thalamo‐Lesional Connectivity Signatures of Bilateral Tonic–Clonic Seizures in Focal Cortical Dysplasia‐Related Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is the most common etiology of drug‐resistant epilepsy in children. Focal to bilateral tonic–clonic seizures (FBTCS) mark a high risk of drug‐resistant epilepsy and involve thalamocortical circuitry in their generation and propagation.

Building a Framework for Sexual and Reproductive Health Care in the Rheumatology Context: Content and Approaches

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
People with systemic autoimmune and rheumatic diseases (SARDs) are at higher risk than the general population of experiencing adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes such as preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, and maternal and/or fetal death.

Combined Process‐ and Phase‐Field‐Simulation to Predict the Microstructure of Single‐Crystal Ni‐Based Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Fusion frame, relay fusion frame and signal reconstruction

open access: yesFilomat
In this paper, we demonstrate that any signal exhibiting a certain sparse pattern can be recovered in a stable and resilient manner through the utilization of the fusion frame approach. The theoretical analysis highlights that the deviation of the approximate solution is effectively controlled.

Frames and fusion frames in quantum optics

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2010
The main purpose of this paper is to show that the notions of frames and fusion frames introduced in non-harmonic Fourier analysis are also very natural in discussion of some basic problems in theory of open quantum systems and, in particular, in quantum optics.
