Physiological Signals and Affect as Predictors of Advertising Engagement

open access: yesSensors, 2023
This study investigated the use of affect and physiological signals of heart rate, electrodermal activity, pupil dilation, and skin temperature to classify advertising engagement. The ground truth for the affective and behavioral aspects of ad engagement

Temperature-Dependent Inhibition of Fusion from Without [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 1972
Fusion from without by Newcastle disease virus is inhibited by incubation at 23 C. The inhibitory effect is exerted at a step after viral attachment and is not reversed by subsequent incubation at higher temperatures.

Temperature Dependence of Fusion by Sendai Virus

open access: yesVirology, 2000
Studies of the temperature dependence of liposome fusion by Sendai virus indicate that fusion occurs maximally at 55 degrees C. The fusion capacity of the virus is also inactivated maximally by preincubation at this temperature and, under the same conditions, the F glycoprotein becomes resistant to proteolysis.

Endosome-lysosome fusion at low temperature

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1991
Based on an initial study (Dunn, W. A., Hubbard, A. L., and Aronson, Jr., N. N. (1980) J. Biol. Chem. 255, 5971-5978), low temperature is often used to selectively inhibit fusion between endosomes and lysosomes. Here we have tried to characterize the nature of this inhibition.

Ultrafast probing of plasma ion temperature in proton–boron fusion by nuclear resonance fluorescence emission spectroscopy

open access: yesMatter and Radiation at Extremes, 2022
Aneutronic fusion reactions such as proton–boron fusion could efficiently produce clean energy with quite low neutron doses. However, as a consequence, conventional neutron spectral methods for diagnosing plasma ion temperature would no longer work ...

Temperature Significantly Regulates Gene Expressions of Vertebrae Chondrocytes and Osteoblasts in Juvenile Golden Pompano (Trachinotus ovatus)

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2021
To elucidate the possible molecular reaction of vertebral fusion in juvenile golden pompano at high temperature, we examined the changes in growth, vertebral fusion incidence, histological differences and transcription levels of genes related to bone ...

High-temperature fusion of a multielectron leviton [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2018
The state of electrons injected onto the surface of the Fermi sea depends on temperature. The state is pure at zero temperature and is mixed at finite temperature. In the case of a single-electron injection, such a transformation can be detected as a decrease in shot noise with increasing temperature.

Conjugate entropy generation and heat transfer in a wavy walls’ enclosure containing a suspension of dilute nano-encapsulated phase change material

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science
The present article numerically investigated the conjugate heat transmission and entropy production of NEPCM enclosed within a cavity. The cavity was modified by inserting wavy blocks on both the top and bottom sides.
