Hepatectomy Based on Future Liver Remnant Plasma Clearance Rate of Indocyanine Green [PDF]

open access: yesHPB Surgery, 2016
Background. Hepatectomy, an important treatment modality for liver malignancies, has high perioperative morbidity and mortality rates. Safe, comprehensive criteria for selecting patients for hepatectomy are needed. Since June 2011, we have used a cut-off value of ≧ 0.05 for future liver remnant plasma clearance rate of indocyanine green as a criterion ...

Efficacy and Tolerability of Topotecan/Cyclophosphamide/Dinutuximab in Relapsed and Refractory High‐Risk Neuroblastoma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan, temozolomide, and dinutuximab (I/T/DIN) has emerged as first‐line therapy for relapsed/refractory (r/r) high‐risk neuroblastoma (HRNB) in North America. Topotecan and cyclophosphamide (T/C) are often used in combination with dinutuximab in the setting of lack of response, progression, or incomplete ...

Accurate calculation of future remnant liver function by volume/function analysis before liver resection [PDF]

open access: yesHPB, 2016
six patients (2.2%) died during the hospital stay or within 30 days after the primary operation. Conclusions: The DHBA has been successfully implemented and will provide valuable insight in the quality of care of patients undergoing liver surgery in the Netherlands. Initial outcomes seem comparable with international standards.
