Fuzzy Constraints for Knowledge Graph Embeddings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering
Knowledge graph embeddings can be trained to infer which missing facts are likely to be true. For this, false training examples need to be derived from the available set of positive facts, so that the embedding models can learn to recognize the boundary between fact and fiction.

Advances in Electroactive Liquid Crystal Elastomers for Intelligent Robotics and Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Electroactive liquid crystal elastomers (eLCEs) integrate molecular anisotropy with electrical functionality to enable programmable actuation and reconfigurable electronics. This review classifies eLCEs into robotic actuators and adaptive electronics, summarizes key actuation mechanisms, and highlights fabrication strategies that bridge materials to ...

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Fuzzy Adaptive Fixed-Time Bipartite Consensus Self-Triggered Control for Multi-QUAVs with Deferred Full-State Constraints

open access: yesDrones
This paper investigates the interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy adaptive fixed-time bipartite consensus self-triggered control for multiple quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles with deferred full-state constraints and input saturation under cooperative ...

Mitochondrial Dysfunction Unravels the Potential Molecular Link Between Night Shift Work‐Related Circadian Disruption and Elevated Blood Pressure in Human and Mouse Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

Multi-item Supplier Selection Model with Fuzzy Risk Analysis Studied by Possibility and Necessity Constraints

open access: yesFuzzy Information and Engineering, 2015
Three different supplier selection models have been developed in crisp and fuzzy environments. Here two objective functions have been considered, profit and risk. In this paper, profit has been maximized and risk has been minimized with some constraints.

Enhancing Maturation of Human Neuromuscular Organoids via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A framework for on‐demand and non‐invasive exposure of human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) to electrical stimuli is established to promote their maturation. The robustness and effectiveness of different stimulation regimes are evaluated via thorough characterization of organoid tissue structure and contraction capacity. Chronic electrical stimulation,

Fuzzy mathematical programming for assembly line balancing problem with uncertain parameters

open access: yesMANAS: Journal of Engineering
Assembly line balancing models aim at minimizing cycle time, and the number of stations becomes quite complex with precedence relations and various resource constraints.

Fuzzy constraints in job-shop scheduling

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 1995
This paper proposes an extension of the constraint-based approach to job-shop scheduling, that accounts for the flexibility of temporal constraints and the uncertainty of operation durations. The set of solutions to a problem is viewed as a fuzzy set whose membership function reflects preference.
