Inclusion Measures in Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Theory

2003
Twenty years after their inception, intuitionistic fuzzy sets are on the rise towards making their “claim to fame”. Competing alongside various other, often closely related, formalisms, they are catering to the needs of a more demanding and rapidly expanding knowledge-based systems industry.

Generalization of the Dempster-Shafer theory: a fuzzy-valued measure

IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 1999
The Dempster-Shafer theory (DST) may be considered as a generalization of the probability theory, which assigns mass values to the subsets of the referential set and suggests an interval-valued probability measure. There have been several attempts for fuzzy generalization of the DST by assigning mass (probability) values to the fuzzy subsets of the ...

Measure theory on granular fuzzy sets

18th International Conference of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society - NAFIPS (Cat. No.99TH8397), 2003
A granular fuzzy set theory is modeled on fuzzy sets whose membership functions are defined on sets of sets (granules). The grade is interpreted literally; for example, that the grade of x is 1/2 means one half of the granule x belongs to the fuzzy set. By taking the union of these subgranules, one get a crisp set representation of a fuzzy set.

Adjacency on the order polytope with applications to the theory of fuzzy measures

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2010
The adjacency structures of the order polytope of a poset are studied. For a given poset it is determined by its filters whether two vertices in the corresponding order polytope are adjacent. It is shown that checking adjacency between two vertices can be done in quadratic time with respect to the cardinality of the poset.

A THEORY OF FUZZY MEASURES: INTEGRATION AND ITS ADDITIVITY

International Journal of General Systems, 1994
Fuzzy measures and their corresponding Choquet integrals introduced by Murofushi and Sugeno [1989, 1991] are included in the theory of pre-measures and the corresponding integral developed by Sipos [1979a, 1979b]. The additivity of Sipos integral is studied. As a corollary, the additivity of the Choquet integral is obtained.

A measure of the satisfaction by Fuzzy set theory

2013
In this paper the fuzzy set theory is applied to define a measure of subject satisfaction relating to every social aspect (quality of life, job, a service, etc.). This theory is based on the construction of a membership function to a fuzzy set.

A new method for measuring uncertainty and fuzziness in rough set theory

International Journal of General Systems, 2002
Based on the complement behavior of information gain, a new definition of information entropy is proposed along with its justification in rough set theory. Some properties of this definition imply those of Shannon's entropy. Based on the new information entropy, conditional entropy and mutual information are then introduced and applied to knowledge ...
