Extending the fuzzy database with fuzzy numbers
Information Sciences, 1984The fuzzy relational database model originated by the authors permits fuzzy domain values from a discrete, finite universe. The model is extended here by demonstrating that fuzzy numbers may be employed as domain values without loss of consistency with respect to representation or the relational algebra.

Ranking of fuzzy numbers by fuzzy mapping
International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2011In this work, the concepts of interval function, the mean value and α lower percentile of a fuzzy number are presented. Also, we defined a large family of fuzzy numbers. Then, we obtained a method to rank them. Herein, the approach proposed is relatively simple in terms of computational efforts and is efficient for ranking fuzzy numbers.

Inverse of a fuzzy matrix of fuzzy numbers
International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2009The aim of this paper is to extend the concept of inverse of a matrix with fuzzy numbers as its elements, which may be used to model uncertain and imprecise aspects of real-world problems. We pursue two main ideas based on employing real scenarios and arithmetic operators. In each case, exact and inexact strategies are provided.

Fuzzy distance of triangular fuzzy numbers
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2013In this paper, a new triangular fuzzy distance is proposed for two triangular fuzzy numbers and this distance is developed and applied for two points in a K-dimensional space. In this fuzzy distance we use the left and right point. Its calculations are easier compared to the previous presented distances and its result is always a non negative fuzzy ...

The Satisfaction Degree of the Fuzzy Numbers and Ranking of the Fuzzy Numbers
2009 Sixth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2009In this paper, a new method of ranking the fuzzy number is proposed. Firstly, a new concept of the satisfaction degree of the fuzzy number is presented and its properties are discussed. Secondly, the interaction between the parameters, α- levels and ranking result is studied.
