Ranking of fuzzy numbers by fuzzy mapping
International Journal of Computer Mathematics, 2011In this work, the concepts of interval function, the mean value and α lower percentile of a fuzzy number are presented. Also, we defined a large family of fuzzy numbers. Then, we obtained a method to rank them. Herein, the approach proposed is relatively simple in terms of computational efforts and is efficient for ranking fuzzy numbers.

Fuzzy distance of triangular fuzzy numbers
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2013In this paper, a new triangular fuzzy distance is proposed for two triangular fuzzy numbers and this distance is developed and applied for two points in a K-dimensional space. In this fuzzy distance we use the left and right point. Its calculations are easier compared to the previous presented distances and its result is always a non negative fuzzy ...

The Satisfaction Degree of the Fuzzy Numbers and Ranking of the Fuzzy Numbers
2009 Sixth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2009In this paper, a new method of ranking the fuzzy number is proposed. Firstly, a new concept of the satisfaction degree of the fuzzy number is presented and its properties are discussed. Secondly, the interaction between the parameters, α- levels and ranking result is studied.

On fuzzy number-valued fuzzy measures defined by fuzzy number-valued fuzzy integrals I
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1992The author generalizes some concepts on fuzzy measure and fuzzy integral to the case where the fuzzy measure can take fuzzy numbers and both of fuzzy measure and fuzzy integral are defined on fuzzy sets, particularly, he discusses when such a fuzzy integral could determine a fuzzy number- valued fuzzy measure.

Summary: At the heart of many statistical processing algorithms lies the concept of ordering a set of crisp numbers, either according to their own values (``direct'' sorting), or according to the values of a second set of numbers (``indirect'' sorting).
