Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Comparing algorithms and criteria for designing Bayesian conjoint choice experiments. [PDF]
The recent algorithm to find efficient conjoint choice designs, the RSC-algorithm developed by Sándor and Wedel (2001), uses Bayesian design methods that integrate the D-optimality criterion over a prior distribution of likely parameter values ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Abstract This paper presents a unique nested optimization framework for the co-design of a physical system (plant) and controller, which leverages optimal Design of Experiments (DoE) techniques for the plant optimization and extremum seeking for the control system optimization.

Efficient Prediction Designs for Random Fields
For estimation and predictions of random fields it is increasingly acknowledged that the kriging variance may be a poor representative of true uncertainty.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

FEATURES OF SYNTHESIS OF REVERSE OPERATOR OF STATIC STRUCTURALLY REDUNDANT MEASURING SYSTEM
Background. The relevance of the topic of work is due to the need to find an accurate assessment of the inverse function of converting adaptive and intelligent measuring instruments during their calibration and measurement.
