Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Numbers of center points appropriate to blocked response surface experiments [PDF]

open access: yes
Tables are given for the numbers of center points to be used with blocked sequential designs of composite response surface experiments as used in empirical optimum seeking. The star point radii for exact orthogonal blocking is presented. The center point

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Information sharing and the stability of cooperation in research joint ventures [PDF]

open access: yes
The model studies information sharing and the stability of cooperation in cost reducing Research Joint Ventures (RJVs). In a three-stage game- theoretic framework, firms decide on participation in a RJV, information sharing along with R&D expenditures ...

Implicit iterative method for approximating a common solution of split equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive semigroup

open access: yesArab Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2014
In this paper, we introduce and study an implicit iterative method to approximate a common solution of split equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive semigroup in real Hilbert spaces. Further, we prove that the nets generated by the

G Optimal Design in Non linear Models to Increase Silicon Oxide Purity Levels and Electrical Conductivity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Scientific Research in Science, Engineering and Technology, 2018
Optimal design is a design which required in determining the points of variable factors that would be attempted to optimize the relevant information so that fulfilled the desired criteria. The optimal fulfillment criteria based on the information matrix of the selected model.

Crucial parameters for precise copy number variation detection in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded solid cancer samples

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

Regularity of stable solutions to semilinear elliptic equations on Riemannian models

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2015
We consider the reaction-diffusion problem -Δgu = f(u) in ℬR with zero Dirichlet boundary condition, posed in a geodesic ball ℬR with radius R of a Riemannian model (M,g).

Optimal designs for smoothing splines [PDF]

open access: yes
In the common nonparametric regression model we consider the problem of constructing optimal designs, if the unknown curve is estimated by a smoothing spline.
