Comparison of PhenoCams and drones for lean phenotyping of phenology and senescence of wheat genotypes in variety testing

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 8, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract In variety testing and breeding of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), it is crucial to know the timing of phenological stages and the senescence behavior of genotypes to select for locally adapted varieties. Sound knowledge of the timing of phenological stages also allows for a more meaningful interpretation of measurements such as yield, quality ...

An integrable discretization of KdV at large times

open access: yes, 2001
An "exact discretization" of the Schroedinger operator is considered and its direct and inverse scattering problems are solved. It is shown that a differential-difference nonlinear evolution equation depending on two arbitrary constants can be solved by ...

Development of a Robust Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (DRIFTS) Cell for Elucidating Reaction Mechanisms in Nonthermal Plasma Catalysis

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 9, Issue 12, December 1, 2025.
A dome‐type operando DRIFTS cell is developed to enable stable, uniform glow discharges that mimic dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactors. In plasma‐catalytic CO2 methanation, this design allows real‐time mechanistic tracking of surface reactions under gas switching conditions, revealing reaction pathways.

Atomic Diffusion and Mixing in Old Stars I. VLT/FLAMES-UVES Observations of Stars in NGC 6397

open access: yes, 2007
We present a homogeneous photometric and spectroscopic analysis of 18 stars along the evolutionary sequence of the metal-poor globular cluster NGC 6397 ([Fe/H] = -2), from the main-sequence turnoff point to red giants below the bump.

Reasons for Healthcare Use Before Onset of Multiple Sclerosis: A Nationwide Matched Cohort Study in Sweden

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 32, Issue 12, December 2025.
Healthcare and medication use related to multiple body systems elevated up to 6–9 years before multiple sclerosis (MS) symptom onset, and even earlier before the first demyelinating event. The timing and magnitude varied by sex and age. ABSTRACT Background Evidence suggests signs and symptoms may emerge years before the clinical onset of multiple ...

Dynamic Interrelationships among Bitcoin, Bonds, and Sectoral Indices in India: Evidence from Pre- and Post-COVID-19

open access: yesFinancial Internet Quarterly
This study employs the Maximal Overlap Discrete Wavelet Transform technique to analyze the wavelet-based correlations between Bitcoin, bond markets, and thirteen sectoral stock indices in India over the period from 2017 to 2023, focusing on the ...

Coupled Minimal Models with and without Disorder

open access: yes, 1997
We analyse in this article the critical behavior of $M$ $q_1$-state Potts models coupled to $N$ $q_2$-state Potts models ($q_1,q_2\in [2..4]$) with and without disorder. The technics we use are based on perturbed conformal theories.

On the Capacity of the Half-Duplex Diamond Channel

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, a dual-hop communication system composed of a source S and a destination D connected through two non-interfering half-duplex relays, R1 and R2, is considered.

Diffractive Nonlinear Geometrical Optics for Variational Wave Equations and the Einstein Equations

open access: yes, 2005
We derive an asymptotic solution of the vacuum Einstein equations that describes the propagation and diffraction of a localized, large-amplitude, rapidly-varying gravitational wave.
