Mg2+ binding and archaeosine modification stabilize the G15–C48 Levitt base pair in tRNAs [PDF]
The G15–C48 Levitt base pair, located at a crucial position in the core of canonical tRNAs, assumes a reverse Watson–Crick (RWC) geometry. By means of bioinformatics analysis and quantum mechanics calculations we show here that such a geometry is moderately more stable than an alternative bifurcated trans geometry, involving the guanine Watson–Crick ...

A fatal 3‐chloro‐phencyclidine (3‐Cl‐PCP) intoxication was investigated by analyzing postmortem samples and a pooled human liver microsomes assay. Tentative metabolite identification was performed by liquid chromatography‐quadrupole time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (LC‐QTOF‐MS). Seven phase I metabolites were identified.

Abstract Objective Sigma‐1 is a chaperone protein that serves as a key homeostatic regulator, implicated in neuronal excitability and seizure control. Positive allosteric modulators offer a use‐dependent means to enhance Sigma‐1 activity, potentially with favorable tolerability compared to direct agonists.

ABSTRACT Prior work suggests that children who are supported by their extended family kinship network experience fewer internalizing problems, with most of this support coming from the maternal side of the family. However, less is known about the unique contributions to well‐being associated with maternal versus paternal extended family support among ...
