A novel antibacterial peptide active against peach crown gall (Agrobacterium tumefaciens) isolated from cyanide-tolerant actinomycetes G19

World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2014
An antimicrobial peptide was extracted from the antagonistic actinomycetes G19. It was designated as G19-F. By using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, the molecular weight of G19-F was determined. The primary structure of the antimicrobial peptide was determined using N-terminal sequencing and mass spectrometry.

Hb North York [β117(G19)His→Asp]: A New β Chain Hemoglobin Variant

Hemoglobin, 2009
Routine hemoglobin (Hb) analysis identified a new beta chain Hb variant in an Iranian woman, who otherwise had normal hematological indices. Sequence analysis demonstrated that the Hb variant was due to a missense mutation at amino acid codon 117 (CAC>GAC, His-->Asp) of the beta-globin gene.

G19(P) Improving blood gas sampling in newborn intensive care

Quality Improvement: Delivering Better Patient Outcomes and Experience, 2017
Aims NICU babies often require frequent blood gases. This unit processes 3000–4000 blood gases monthly. Most are done by heel-prick with glass capillary tubes, with potential for needlestick injury. Some units have switched to a safer plastic tube, despite little evidence confirming reliability of results.
