A Reference Material for Bulk Solid Investigations

open access: yesChemical Engineering &Technology, Volume 48, Issue 7, July 2025.
This article deals with the invention of a reference material representing a bulk material with its main parts, the fine and the coarse fraction. The idea is to use this material to support and improve further research dealing with the prediction of dust emissions when handling coarsely dispersed bulk materials.

Mitigating the susceptibility to intergranular corrosion of alloy 625 by friction-stir welding

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
In this work, friction-stir welding (FSW) was employed to alloy 625 grade I (soft annealed) sheets. Therefore, solid-state based welding was undertaken with a tool rotational speed of 200 rpm and a welding speed of 1 mm/s.

Genetic diversity among black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) accessions based on quantitative and qualitative traits

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2025.
Abstract To investigate the genetic diversity in black cumin (Nigella sativa L.), a total of 64 genotypes were tested in an 8 × 8 simple lattice design at Sirinika Agricultural Research Center for two consecutive years during 2022/2023 and 2023/2024.

Hadron production in relativistic nuclear collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions create a "fireball" of strongly interacting matter at high energy density. At very high energy this is suggested to be partonic matter, but at lower energy it should consist of yet unknown hadronic, perhaps ...

Coding Schemes for a Class of Receiver Message Side Information in AWGN Broadcast Channels

open access: yes, 2014
This paper considers the three-receiver AWGN broadcast channel where the receivers (i) have private-message requests and (ii) know some of the messages requested by other receivers as side information.

Galileo dust data from the jovian system: 2000 to 2003

open access: yes, 2009
The Galileo spacecraft was orbiting Jupiter between Dec 1995 and Sep 2003. The Galileo dust detector monitored the jovian dust environment between about 2 and 370 R_J (jovian radius R_J = 71492 km).

Adversarial coordination and public information design

open access: yesTheoretical Economics, Volume 20, Issue 2, Page 763-813, May 2025.
We study flexible public information design in global games. In addition to receiving public information from the designer, agents are endowed with exogenous private information and must decide between two actions (invest and not invest), the profitability of which depends on unknown fundamentals and the agents' aggregate action.
