Mechanisms Underlying the Effects of Secretory Protein G22 on Biological Characteristics and Virulence of Streptococcus suis [PDF]

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Streptococcus suis serotype 2 (SS2) is an important zoonotic pathogen that seriously harms the swine industry and human health. However, its pathogenic mechanisms are largely unknown, and the few virulence factors reported so far are insufficient to ...

Filamentary Flows and Clump-fed High-mass Star Formation in G22 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Astronomical Union, 2017
AbstractG22 is a hub-filament system composed of four supercritical filaments. Velocity gradients are detected along three filaments. A total mass infall rate of 700 M⊙ Myr−1 would double the hub mass in about three free-fall times. The most massive clump C1 would be in global collapse with an infall velocity of 0.26 km s−1 and a mass infall rate of 5 ×

Purification, characterization and cloning of a chitinase from Stenotrophomonas rhizophila G22 [PDF]

open access: yes3 Biotech, 2019
In the presented research the extracellular chitinase of Stenotrophomonas rhizophila G22 was biochemically and molecularly characterized. The studied enzyme was purified from a 72-h bacterial culture about 14 times, with a recovery of 63%. The molecular weight of the purified protein was estimated at 50 kDa by SDS-PAGE.

G22(P) Child with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy due to primary carnitine deficiency (PCD) [PDF]

open access: yesPaediatricians with expertise in cardiology special interest group (PECSIG), 2020
Introduction Primary carnitine deficiency (PCD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder of fatty acid oxidation, in which the transport of carnitine into cells is impaired. Carnitine deficiency blocks the oxidation of long-chain fatty acids in the mitochondria that leads to heart and hepatic disease, myopathy, nonketotic hypoglycaemia, and neurological

Carta Editorial G22

open access: yesGremium

Adaptability and Stability Analyses of Root Yield and Micronutrient Concentrations in Sweetpotato (<i>Ipomoea batatas</i> [L.] Lam.) Genotypes. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Environ Interact
ABSTRACT High yielding and micronutrient dense sweetpotato cultivars could contribute to alleviating micronutrient deficiency, which is a prevalent problem in developing countries. Developing these improved cultivars involves selection across diverse environments, which requires an understanding of genotype × environment interaction (GEI).

Global Warming and the G22 Nations: On the Failure of the Unfccc and Chaos Theory

open access: yesApplied Economics and Finance, 2017
Economic outcomes tend to be best when there is no market failure, the standard textbook teaches us. Yet, the global economy in a broad sense, covering all consumers, firms and households is today plagued by externalities and free riding, as benefits from and costs for greenhouses gases are not tied together (Stern, 2007, 2015).

G22(P) Survey of Regional Paediatric Handover Practises - Are We Following the Guidelines? [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Disease in Childhood, 2013
Background With changing work patterns effective handovers are essential for patient safety and continuity of care. Handovers should be structured and follow good practise guidelines. Handovers should provide opportunities for educational activities, to initiate or complete work place based assessments (WPBA) and improve communication. The aim of this
