Characterization of Spatially Variant Electromechanical Properties in a 3D Printed Architected Piezoceramic

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 23, Issue 3, June 2026.
The article describes a methodology to obtain spatial map of full piezoelectric tensor of an architected polycrystalline piezoceramic, based on direct knowledge of microstructural changes that is gained through in situ X‐ray microdiffraction and further complemented by micromechanical computations.

The Importance of Microstructure When Gauging the Efficacy of Pulse Poling in Perovskite Single Crystals

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Perovskite PMN‐PZT single crystals grown via solid‐state crystal growth (SSCG) were subjected to the pulse poling process to boost piezoelectric performance. Pulse poling subjects samples to short pulses of electric field in rapid succession and has previously demonstrated vast property improvements in Bridgman‐grown single crystals by driving

A Long‐Period Grating Formed by Residual Stress on Thin‐Film Lithium Niobate With Efficient Electro‐Optic and Thermo‐Optic Tuning

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
Three‐dimensional schematic (a) of the proposed long‐period grating (LPG) on thin‐film lithium niobate (TFLN) and its cross‐sectional view (b) showing a TFLN core with a BCB cladding and a periodic metal structure. Residual stress generated at the metal–BCB interface creates the LPG.

Reconfigurable Analog Computing Metasurfaces Based on Thin Film Lithium Niobate

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
A transmissive reconfigurable analog computing metasurface based on a simple TFLN structure is demonstrated. The proposed metasurface is truly flexible and capable of switching between different computing functions, such as first‐order differentiation, second‐order differentiation, and integration.

Role of the d⁎(2380) dibaryon in NN interaction

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
It is demonstrated for the first time that the dibaryon resonance d⁎(2380) discovered reliably in the numerous experiments at the WASA@COSY facility (Jülich FZ) determines almost completely (when supplemented with the peripheral one-pion exchange) NN ...

Genetic progress from 15 years of white oat breeding in Brazil

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Abstract Despite advances in crop management and breeding, cereals still face considerable yield losses from phytopathogens and lodging caused by adverse weather. Developing oat genotypes that combine disease tolerance, lodging resistance, and industrial quality is therefore essential, and the estimation of genetic progress allows validation of ...

Local agricultural markets and external shocks – the case of Poland

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management and Economics
We quantify the role of individual factors in shaping the domestic prices of selected grains and oilseeds in Poland and test the hypothesis of whether a favorable supply situation can isolate the domestic market from external shocks.
