Low Energy Properties of the (n,n) Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yes, 1997
According to band theory, an ideal undoped (n,n) carbon nanotube is metallic. We show that the electron-electron interaction causes it to become Mott insulating with a spin gap.

Natural variation of the wheat root exudate metabolome and its influence on biological nitrification inhibition activity

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 11, Page 4755-4772, November 2025.
Summary Excessive nitrogen use and low nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) in current agroecosystems are disrupting the global nitrogen cycle. Chemical inhibitors offer only temporary relief, while plant‐derived biological nitrification inhibitors (BNIs) remain safer but underexplored.

Symmetric Linear Backlund Transformation for Discrete BKP and DKP equation

open access: yes, 1999
Proper lattices for the discrete BKP and the discrete DKP equaitons are determined. Linear B\"acklund transformation equations for the discrete BKP and the DKP equations are constructed, which possesses the lattice symmetries and generate auto-B\"acklund

Immune Surveillance and Immune Escape in Cancer: Mechanisms and Immunotherapy

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 10, October 2025.
Our review focused on how specific cellular subsets crucial for igniting tumor immunity cycle, notably effector and helper T cells alongside antigen presentation cells, interact closely in both antigen‐dependent and ‐independent manners (within centered ring) adjacent to cancer cells.

Loop models and their critical points

open access: yes, 2006
Loop models have been widely studied in physics and mathematics, in problems ranging from polymers to topological quantum computation to Schramm-Loewner evolution. I present new loop models which have critical points described by conformal field theories.

Expedited Approval in Oncology: A Study of European Regulators' Perspectives and Trade‐Offs

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 118, Issue 3, Page 642-648, September 2025.
The purpose of this study was to describe the perspectives and trade‐offs of EU regulators about expedited approvals for treatments of patients with advanced cancer. The study consisted of a cross‐sectional survey with assessors and experts from the network of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Nucleation in dilute 3He-4He liquid mixtures at low temperatures

open access: yes, 1999
We present a study of phase separation from supersaturated 3He-4He liquid mixtures at low temperatures addressing both the degree of critical supersaturation Dx and the thermal-to-quantum crossover temperature T* for the nucleation process. Two different

Assessing the adaptability and stability of maize hybrids using a Bayesian factor analytic model

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 65, Issue 5, September/October 2025.
Abstract Maize (Zea mays L.) is an important crop globally, and obtaining more productive and resistant commercial cultivars is of paramount importance. In this context, adequate analysis of data from multi‐environment trials is essential for the accurate modeling of genotype × environment interaction (GEI), thus providing crucial support for decision ...
