Corrosion resistance of alloys of Hastelloy in chloroaluminate melts

open access: yesChimica Techno Acta, 2015
The corrosion of Hastelloy S, Hastelloy X, Haynes 230, Hastelloy N, Hastelloy G35 and Hastelloy C2000 alloys was studied in KCl–AlCl3 melts at 550 °С. The rates and the mechanisms of corrosion of the studied materials were determined.

In‐hospital outcomes of lacosamide versus levetiracetam for early adjunctive treatment of status epilepticus: A Nationwide Japanese retrospective cohort study

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 162-169, February 2026.
Abstract Objective Status epilepticus (SE) is a neurological emergency requiring immediate treatment. Although intravenous lacosamide (LCM) is used for the management of epilepsy, its effectiveness in treating SE remains unclear. We aimed to compare the in‐hospital outcomes between intravenous LCM and levetiracetam (LEV) as an early adjunctive therapy ...

Pre‐Diagnostic Features of Multiple Sclerosis in a Diverse UK Cohort: A Nested Case–Control Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 1, Page 71-84, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Many patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) experience nonspecific symptoms prior to diagnosis. This period—the 'MS prodrome'—has been described in socio‐economically homogeneous cohorts to date. It remains unclear to what extent events prior to an MS diagnosis differ according to social determinants of health. Methods We conducted a

Identification of two novel Rotavirus A genotypes, G35 and P[50], from Peruvian alpaca faeces

open access: yesInfection, Genetics and Evolution, 2017
Rotavirus A (RVA) Alp11B was detected from a neonatal Peruvian alpaca presenting with diarrhea, and the Alp11B VP7, VP4, VP6, NSP4, and NSP5 genes were sequenced. The partial genotype constellation of this strain, RVA/Alpaca-wt/PER/Alp11B/2010, was determined to be G35-P[50]-I13-E16-H6.

Fiber composition of 190 novel energy cane genotypes and their potential for biorefinery applications

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, Volume 20, Issue 1, Page 253-267, January/February 2026.
Abstract Energy cane has emerged as a promising feedstock for biorefineries due to its high fiber yield and potential for diversified bioproducts. This study evaluated the fiber composition of 190 energy cane genotypes and assessed their theoretical potential for producing second‐generation (2G) ethanol, polyethylene, and xylitol.

Corrigendum: Classification of Supernova Remnants and HII Regions from their Recombination Line Emission

open access: yes, 1973
The galactic source number designations G35'6-0'4 and G35 5-0 0 in Table 1 should be interchanged. Thus G35'6-0'4 is the supernova remnant and G35 5 -0 0 appears to be an HII region. The authors thank Dr.

Evaluation of performance and stability in response to multiple environments in maize

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Abstract Frequently occurring extreme weather events and environmental changes may significantly reduce corn (Zea mays L.) yields. Thus, the selection of favorable traits and stable genotypes has emerged as a fundamental objective of breeding programs aimed at countering adverse weather effects. Field experiments in eight environments were conducted in
