The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Using social network analysis for the study of asynchronous interaction in e-learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The success of many e-learning system is mainly based on a deep level of interaction among instructors and students, mostly through the use of on-line forums, which allow both discussions related to the learning process as well as favour the social ...

Characterizing tomato genotypes in the varied climates of north-western Himalayas and implications for environmental resilience using GGE Biplot analyses

open access: yesScientific Reports
The current investigation, titled “Genotype x Environment interaction of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) genotypes using GGE biplot analyses,” was carried out 2022-23 across three locations in Himachal Pradesh, India through GGE biplot analysis.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Stability Analysis and Identification of Superior Hybrids in Pearl Millet [Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.] Using the Multi Trait Stability Index

open access: yesPlants
Pearl millet stands as an important staple food and feed for arid and semi-arid regions of India and South Africa. It is also a quick supplier of important micronutrients like Fe and Zn via grain to combat micronutrient deficiencies among people in ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Benzofuran Derivatives Activators of the Chaperone Protein Hsp90: Synthesis, Interaction Studies and Biological Effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We have recently reported that allosteric modulation of the chaperone protein Hsp901 can be achieved in an allosteric fashion using a family of 2-phenyl-benzofuran derivatives that target an allosteric pocket at the C-terminal domain of the protein.2,3 ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.
