Childhood chondrosarcoma: MR imaging with Gadolinium-DTPA

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 1990
The radiologic, CT, MR, and histological features of a case of chondrosarcoma of the femur presenting in childhood are reported. This case emphasizes the use of correlative imaging in establishing the diagnosis as well as the value of MR supplemented by Gadolinium-DTPA enhancement in disclosing abundant necrosis within the tumor.

Gadolinium-DTPA Enhancement of Lung Radiation Fibrosis

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1989
Gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) enhancement of radiation-induced apical pulmonary fibrosis was observed in two patients previously treated for breast cancer. In one case the fibrosis was biopsied twice, with no change in its CT appearance over 3 years.

Gadolinium-DTPA-enhanced MRI in the evaluation of osteonecrosis

Clinical Radiology, 1994
We report the MR findings in three cases of osteonecrosis. Two cases were post-traumatic and the third idiopathic. The diagnosis, localization and characterization of osteonecrosis was improved in all patients by the use of Gadolinium-DTPA-enhanced, fat-saturated, T1-weighted spin-echo imaging.

Magnetic resonance imaging of the pancreas with gadolinium-DTPA

Gastrointestinal Radiology, 1991
Gadolinium (Gd)-DTPA was evaluated as a contrast agent for magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the pancreas at 1.5T. Twenty-five patients were imaged with identical gradient-echo (GE) (TR 47, TE 13, 80 degree pulse angle) and spin-echo (SE) (TR 300, TE 15) MR sequences prior to and following an intravenous bolus of 0.1 mmol/kg Gd-DTPA. Marked pancreatic

In Vitro Interactions of Gadolinium DOTA Meglumine and Gadolinium DTPA Meglumine on Hemostasis

Investigative Radiology, 1988
The interactions of two gadolinium complexes (Gd-DOTA meglumine and Gd-DTPA meglumine) with hemostatic function have been analyzed using: (1) coagulation reactions (extrinsic and intrinsic pathways and fibrinoformation) and (2) platelet function investigations (aggregation, release of Ca++ and ATP after stimulation with collagen 2.5 micrograms/mL). The

Gadolinium-DTPA-Enhanced MRI of the Facial Nerve

1994
Gadolinium(Gd)-DTPA-enhanced magnetic resonance images (MRI) of facial nerves in the temporal bone were evaluated to ascertain the relation between the duration of the disease and the sites of enhancement.

Comparison of Gadolinium-DTPA and Macromolecular Gadolinium-DTPA-Polylysine for Contrast-Enhanced Pulmonary Time-of-Flight Magnetic Resonance Angiography

Investigative Radiology, 1996
The authors investigated the enhancing effect of low-dose administration of the macromolecular, paramagnetic contrast medium gadolinium (Gd)-DTPA-polylysine (average molecular weight, 40,000-50,000 dalton [D]) compared with Gd-DTPA (molecular weight, 547 D) in time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography of unilaterally damaged sheep lungs.Thirteen ...

Gadolinium-DTPA-Enhanced MRI in Facial Palsy

1994
We evaluated the specificity of facial nerve enhancement on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using contrast agent gadolinium-DTPA (Gd-DTPA) for the diagnosis of facial nerve lesions.

An Improved Method for the Preparation of Liposomal Gadolinium-DTPA

Investigative Radiology, 1991
We have developed an improved method for the production of liposomal gadolinium-DTPA (Gd-DTPA). The ionophore A23187 facilitates the uptake of externally added Gd into the interior aqueous space of a unilamellar lipid vesicle, where it is chelated by passively entrapped DTPA to form the Gd-DTPA chelate in situ.
