The GmGT‐2F, a trihelix transcription factor, regulates seed oil content by directly activating GmAGAL transcription in soybean

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 6, Page 1794-1814, June 2026.
In soybean, the trihelix transcription factor GmGT‐2F positively regulates the expression of the α‐galactosidase gene GmAGAL, thereby modulating seed oil content. The cyclophilin GmCYP2 interacts with GmGT‐2F and suppresses GmAGAL activation. Haplotype diversity analysis of GmGT‐2F, GmCYP2, and GmAGAL identified favorable haplotype combinations ...

Safety evaluation of the food enzyme glucan 1,4‐α‐glucosidase from the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus niger strain AE‐GN

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The food enzyme glucan 1,4‐α‐glucosidase (4‐α‐d‐glucan α‐glucohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.3) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus niger strain AE‐GN by Amano Enzyme Inc. The food enzyme was considered free from viable cells of the production organism. It is intended to be used in 13 food manufacturing processes.

The Interaction of Castor Bean Lectins with Galactomannan

open access: yesAgricultural and Biological Chemistry, 1989
We examined the interactions of the two ricins with guar gum, and the results were compared with that of CBH. This is the first report which indicates that three types of castor bean lectins differ in the ability to precipitate guar ...

Identification of novel fructo-oligosaccharide bacterial consumers by pulse metatranscriptomics in a human stool sample

open access: yesmSphere
Dietary fibers influence the composition of the human gut microbiota and directly contribute to its downstream effects on host health. As more research supports the use of glycans as prebiotics for therapeutic applications, the need to identify the gut ...
