Theoretical Re-evaluations of Scaling Relations between SMBHs and Their Host Galaxies–2. Importance of AGN Feedback Suggested by Stellar Age–Velocity Dispersion Relation

Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2017
We present the galactic stellar age—velocity dispersion relation obtained from a semi-analytic model of galaxy formation. We divide galaxies into two populations: galaxies which have over-massive/under-massive black holes (BHs) against the best-fitting ...

Story2Board: A Training‐Free Approach for Expressive Visual Storytelling

Computer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present Story2Board, a training‐free framework for expressive storyboard generation from natural language. Existing methods narrowly focus on subject identity, overlooking key aspects of visual storytelling such as spatial composition, background evolution, and narrative pacing.

FaceIt: Real‐Time On‐Device Identity‐Preserving Portrait Animation

Computer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
A real‐time, on‐device algorithm for animating a single portrait image using detailed facial expressions and motions from a driving video achieving visual quality that can outperform even techniques with significantly higher computational overhead. Abstract Recently, significant progress has been made in generating expressive and temporally coherent ...

Strength‐Based Parenting and Relationship Quality in Latine Families Facing Justice System Risk

Family Relations, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine whether parenting practices that are shaped by culturally embedded value systems (responsiveness, autonomy granting, and affective warmth) and familism are associated with parent–adolescent relationship quality among Latine youth, and whether these associations differ by youth justice involvement and gender.

The Fate of the Interstellar Medium in Early-type Galaxies. V. Active Galactic Nucleus Feedback from Optical Spectral Classification

The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Quenching of star formation plays a fundamental role in galaxy evolution. This process occurs due to the removal of the cold interstellar medium (ISM) or stabilization against collapse, so that gas cannot be used in the formation of new stars.

Smartphone‐Based Teledentistry to Support Clinical Triage and Risk‐Informed Dental Care in Patients With Inherited Bleeding and Haemoglobin Disorders: A Cross‐Sectional Diagnostic Agreement Study

Haemophilia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with inherited bleeding and haemoglobin disorders face barriers to accessing timely dental care, increasing the risk of untreated oral disease and complications related to invasive procedures. Aim To evaluate the agreement between smartphone‐based asynchronous teledentistry and face‐to‐face examination for oral conditions,

Behavioural Determinants of Post‐Brushing Dental Plaque Levels: A Video‐Based Analysis

International Journal of Dental Hygiene, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Toothbrushing remains the most widely practiced method for dental plaque removal. However, evidence‐based guidance on optimal brushing method, duration, toothbrush bristle wear, and dentifrice quantity is still insufficient. This study aimed to identify behavioural factors associated with post‐brushing dental plaque levels using ...
