Chemo-dynamical Evolution of Galaxies
Stars are fossils that retain the history of their host galaxies. Elements heavier than helium are created inside stars and are ejected when they die. From the spatial distribution of elements in galaxies, it is therefore possible to constrain the physical processes during galaxy formation and evolution.

Dynamical stability and galaxy evolution in LSB disk galaxies [PDF]
We demonstrate that, due to their low surface mass density and large dark matter content, LSB disks are quite stable against the growth of global bar modes. However, they may be only marginally stable against local disk instabilities. We simulate a collision between an LSB and HSB galaxy and find that, while the HSB galaxy forms a strong bar, the ...

Refracted Gravity Solutions from Small to Large Scales
If visible matter alone is present in the Universe, general relativity (GR) and its Newtonian weak field limit (WFL) cannot explain several pieces of evidence, from the largest to the smallest scales.

Probing the Nonlinear Density Wave Theory of Spiral Galaxies by Baryonic Tully–Fisher Relation
The baryonic mass–velocity relation provides an important test of different galaxy dynamics models such as Lambda–cold dark matter (ΛCDM) and alternatives like Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND).

Facile Bottom‐Up Assembly of Photonic Micropatterns via Surface‐Guided Colloidal Crystallization
High‐resolution photonic micropatterns with vivid structural colors are fabricated through bottom‐up assembly, guided by surface‐dependent regioselective heterogeneous nucleation and crystal growth of colloidal particles. Full‐spectrum color tunability is achieved by controlling particle size and interparticle attraction, while in situ color mixing is ...

A novel axially symmetric metric is proposed to solve the Einstein field equations. This provides an analytical solution within the matter in the equatorial plane for any galaxy density profile.
