Rapid Quenching of Galaxies at Cosmic Noon
The existence of massive quiescent galaxies at high redshift seems to require rapid quenching, but it is unclear whether all quiescent galaxies have gone through this phase and what physical mechanisms are involved.

A real‐time, non‐contact photoplethysmography (PPG) system based on InAs colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) synthesized via a seedless injection synthesis is demonstrated. The measured oxygen saturation shows considerable agreement with commercial PPG devices.

We present an empirical chemical evolution model that explains the distribution of metals in the interstellar medium (ISM) and the circumgalactic medium (CGM) of galaxies based on the U niverse M achine and N eutral U niverse M achine models in the ...

Understanding Dwarf Galaxies in order to Understand Dark Matter
Much progress has been made in recent years by the galaxy simulation community in making realistic galaxies, mostly by more accurately capturing the effects of baryons on the structural evolution of dark matter halos at high resolutions.

Galaxy Evolution in Distant Clusters [PDF]
A significant evolution has been detected in intermediate redshift clusters (z < 0.9), first by photometric studies ([1], [2]), which showed an excess of blue objects; subsequent spectroscopic studies revealed anomalies in most of the galaxies, mainly consisting of excessively strong Balmer lines.

ABSTRACT The multifunctional integration of chips with high flexibility and scalable manufacturing is crucial for enhancing chip performance, reducing chip size, and simplifying chip design. However, balancing volume, cost, flexibility, and functionality using traditional heterogeneous integration methods is challenging.

The origin of pseudobulges in cosmological simulations of galaxy formation
More than half of nearby disc galaxies have pseudobulges instead of classical bulges that are though to be end-products of galaxy mergers. Pseudobulges are presumed to develop overtime as a result of secular evolution of galaxy discs.

The Geography of Success: A Spatial Analysis of Export Intensity in the Italian Wine Industry
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the paradox of how Italy's fragmented, SME‐dominated wine industry achieves global export success. Moving beyond purely firm‐centric explanations, we test whether export intensity is spatially dependent, clustering geographically in regional ecosystems.

Stellar Populations with MaNGA: Iron Kink and Nitrogen Fuzz
Recent analysis of 2968 MaNGA early-type galaxies has yielded two notable trends with velocity dispersion ( σ ) not previously discussed in the literature. First, Fe abundance rises with σ but only until σ ≈ 100 km s ^−1 , after which it falls.
