The Host Galaxy of GRB 990712 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We present a comprehensive study of the z=0.43 host galaxy of GRB 990712, involving ground-based photometry, spectroscopy, and HST imaging. The broad-band UBVRIJHKs photometry is used to determine the global spectral energy distribution (SED) of the host

Host Galaxies of Type Ia Supernovae from the Nearby Supernova Factory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We present photometric and spectroscopic observations of galaxies hosting Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) observed by the Nearby Supernova Factory (SNfactory).

Optical appearance of the gravitational lens system B0218+35.7 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We present high-resolution CCD images (FWHM=0.6"-0.7") of the compact gravitational lens system B0218+35.7 obtained at the Nordic Optical Telescope. Using aperture and PSF photometry we detect the two closely separated (335 mas) components A and B as ...

The young stellar population of NGC 4214 as observed with HST. I. Data and methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present the data and methods that we have used to perform a detailed UV-optical study of the nearby dwarf starburst galaxy NGC 4214 using multifilter HST/WFPC2+STIS photometry.

Double-nucleus elliptical MCG-01-12-005 in an X-ray emitting cluster of galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The scenario of galaxy formation is believed to follow a structure that builds up from the bottom, with large galaxies being formed by several merging episodes of smaller ones.

A New Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer Calibration of Stellar Mass

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
We derive new empirical scaling relations between Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mid-IR (MIR) galaxy photometry and well-determined stellar masses from spectral energy distribution modeling of a suite of optical–infrared photometry provided ...

Photometry of Remote Galaxy Clusters [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1980
New data on the colors of galaxies in distant, rich clusters of galaxies are presented. Of seven clusters examined having z<0.20, all exhibit color distributions indicating that a significant proportion of the member galaxies are undergoing star formation. The one cluster studied with z<0.20 clearly shows a reduced fraction of such galaxies.

Comparing Globular Cluster System Properties with Host Galaxy Environment

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
We present Hubble Space Telescope photometry in the optical (F475X) and near-infrared (F110W) bands of the globular cluster (GC) systems of the inner halos of a sample of 15 massive elliptical galaxies.

BVRI Surface Photometry of (S+S) Binary Galaxies. I. The data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We present multicolour broad band ($BVRI$) photometry for a sample of 33 spiral-spiral (S+S) binary galaxies drawn from the Karachentsev Catalogue of Isolated Pairs of Galaxies (KPG).

Searching for Dwarf Hα Emission-line Galaxies within Voids. I. Survey Methods and First Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
The population density of dwarf galaxies in low-density voids is likely determined by the dark matter halo mass function and how galaxy formation proceeds in smaller halos.
