Physical Coupling of Kazarian Galaxies with Surrounding Galaxies
Astrophysics, 2003Results from a statistical study of Kazarian galaxies and the objects surrounding them are presented. It is shown that: (1) the sample of Kazarian galaxies up to 16m.0 is complete. (2) Roughly 35.7% of the Kazarian galaxies are members of clusters, 14.0% of groups, and 13.6% of binary systems, while 36.7% are single galaxies.

This chapter examines galaxies in some detail from a largely theoretical perspective. Along the way, one must bear in mind that, although the described progression of events in this chapter is plausible, at this time it is only a conjecture in the minds of theorists that has not yet been confirmed by observational data.

The Physics of Stars and Galaxies
2020In this chapter we will be considering in detail the astrophysical building blocks of the Universe, stars. We first overview their main physical properties and life cycle, including their three possible end states: as white dwarfs, neutron stars, or black holes.

The Physics of Galaxy Formation and Evolution
2016The theoretical studies about galaxy formation and evolution are the subject of this Chapter. They started with the recognition that the Hubble sequence is not a simple morphological description of galaxies, but a possible scheme separating and characterizing the physical processes that bring galaxies to their present form.

The Physics and Dynamics of Starburst Galaxies
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1996In my thesis work, I have made optical and near-infrared spectroscopic observations of a sample of inclined spiral galaxies, to investigate the influence of dust extinction on the inferred kinematics. These observations have confirmed the previous result reported for edge-on galaxies, that the observed rotation curves of a sample of highly inclined ...

Particle physics in stars and galaxies
2008Abstract In previous chapters we have traced the primordial development of the universe, principally through the properties and interactions of the elementary particle constituents of matter. This phase came to an end when the temperature of the fireball fell below a value kT 0.3 eV and z 10, when the radiation and (baryonic) matter ...
