Abstract Phages remain severely under‐sampled, largely due to the limitations of current isolation methods, which are labor‐intensive, low‐throughput, and often restricted to a narrow set of bacterial hosts. To address this gap, we developed a robust and scalable field‐to‐genome workflow that leverages laboratory automation to screen environmental ...

Powerful galactic outflows driven by active galactic nuclei (AGNs) are commonly considered as one of the main mechanisms to regulate star formation in massive galaxies.

QSO winds and galaxy evolution
There exists a population of broad-line z∼2 QSOs which have heavily absorbed X-ray spectra. These objects constitute ∼10% of the population at luminosities and redshifts characteristic of the main producers of QSO luminosity in the Universe. Our follow up observations in the submm show that these QSOs are often embedded in ultraluminous starburst ...

Variation in Bird Gut Microbiota Across Dietary Guilds and Migratory Strategies
This study analyzed the gut microbiota of birds from different ecological types in Nanning, Guangxi, and found that different dietary habits (omnivory, carnivory, and herbivory) and migratory strategies (migratory and resident) significantly altered the gut microbiota of birds, but migration did not increase the inter‐individual variability of gut ...

Resolving the Unresolved Galactic Winds in Multiphase Models. I. Methodology and Application
Galactic winds shape galaxy evolution; however, the outflowing gas is complex: it consists of multiple ionization phases, and its properties vary spatially.

IUCN‐defined extant distribution of the Indo‐Pacific finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides), overlaid with occurrence records, global Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), and Important Marine Mammal Areas (IMMAs). ABSTRACT Prior to this study, the narrow‐ridged finless porpoise (Neophocaena asiaeorientalis) had been extensively studied across East Asia,

Observational Tests of Active Galactic Nuclei Feedback: An Overview of Approaches and Interpretation
Growing supermassive black holes (Active Galactic Nuclei; AGN) release energy with the potential to alter their host galaxies and larger-scale environment; a process named “AGN feedback”.

The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect due to hyper-starburst galaxy winds
We construct a simple, spherical blastwave model to estimate the pressure structure of the intergalactic medium surrounding hyper-starburst galaxies, and argue that the effects of interaction with star-forming galaxy winds may be approximated at early times by an adiabatically expanding, self-similar `bubble' as described by Weaver et al.

We characterized the vertical profiles of archaeal community composition, function, co‐occurrence networks, and assembly mechanisms in mangrove sediments across six depth intervals. Deep sediments hosted higher archaeal diversity, with distinct taxonomic and functional shifts, and more stable co‐occurrence networks compared to surface layers ...
