Mineralogy of Historic Scheelite Mine Tailings at Glenorchy, Otago, New Zealand

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 2, June 2026.
Otago Schist orogenic mineral deposits with scheelite and gold in the Glenorchy area are mineralogically and geochemically similar to, but structurally different from, those at the active Macraes gold mine in East Otago. Glenorchy veins were mined for scheelite up to 1970s, and an abandoned processing battery site at Glenorchy is now being managed for ...

Lichens of abandoned zinc-lead mines

open access: yesActa Mycologica, 2013
A list of lichens from areas of zinc-lead ores in Southern Poland and a review of the characteristic lichen biota of these sites is provided. In spite of the devastated and heavy metal contaminated environment, a highly diverse epigeic and epilithic ...

Phanerozoic veins of galena in the Åland rapakivi area, southwestern Finland [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Finland, 1979
Some minor galena mineralizations are in part associated with clastic dykes of Cambrian sandstone in the Aland rapakivi area. Galena also occurs disseminated in greisen-type mineralizations.

Geochemical Characteristics and Their Geological Significance of Zircon and Apatite From the Wunugetushan Porphyry Cu–Mo Deposit, Inner Mongolia, NE China

open access: yesActa Geologica Sinica - English Edition, Volume 100, Issue 3, Page 795-813, June 2026.
The key factors making the monzogranitic porphyry fertile for mineralization, including its high Cl, S, and H2O contents, high oxidation state, significant fluid exsolution, and multiple recharges of deep‐seated mafic magma, were all critical for the formation of the Wunugetushan porphyry Cu‐Mo deposit. ABSTRACT The Wunugetushan (Wushan) porphyry Cu–Mo

Dual Role of Fe2+ in the Galena Flotation and Influence on Selective Separation

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2023
Fe ions, as one of the unavoidable metal ions, are present in flotation pulp as ferric and ferrous species, and the effect of ferric species on the flotation behavior of sulfide minerals has been widely discussed in the above literatures.

The Effect of Vitamin D3 Supplementation on the Risk of Falls in a General Population—The Finnish Vitamin D Trial

open access: yesJournal of the American Geriatrics Society, Volume 74, Issue 6, Page 1548-1557, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background The impact of vitamin D on fall incidence remains controversial. We studied the effect of 5 years of vitamin D3 supplementation on the risk of falls in a double‐blind, placebo‐controlled randomized trial with generally healthy, community‐dwelling men and women in Finland.

Floatation separation of galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite by combined depressant CCSL

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2017
The flotation separation of galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite was investigated with CCSL as a depressant. Flotation test results show that galena and sphalerite can float but pyrrhotite can barely float with CCSL as a depressant.

Origins of the Pangkaimen Au Deposit in the Northern Great Xing'an Range, China: Evidence From Geochronological, Geochemical, Fluid Inclusion, and H–O–S–Pb Isotope Data

open access: yesGeological Journal, Volume 61, Issue 5, Page 1291-1309, May 2026.
The Pangkaimen Au–Ag deposits belong to the epithermal Au deposits, which are of great significance for guiding the research and development of this type of gold deposit. Metallogenic model diagram of Pangkaimen Au–Ag deposit. ABSTRACT The gold (Au) metallogenic belt in the northern Great Xing'an Range is characterised by the wide occurrence of the ...
