The Effect of Time, Frother and Collector Concentration on the Purification of Ruwai Galena Ore via Agitated Froth Flotation: A Comparative Study with Column Flotation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science and Engineering
Ruwai galena ore contains a high amount of lead (Pb) and a higher silver (Ag) content than similar ores. It indicates that Ruwai galena ore has excellent potential to be utilized as a prospective source of Ag .

Floatation separation of galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite by combined depressant CCSL

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2017
The flotation separation of galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite was investigated with CCSL as a depressant. Flotation test results show that galena and sphalerite can float but pyrrhotite can barely float with CCSL as a depressant.

Recrystallization of galena on heating

open access: yesThe Journal of the Japanese Association of Mineralogists, Petrologists and Economic Geologists, 1961
The author have investigated the crystallinity of galena by means of x-ray spectrometer. It was found that galena showed structural plasticity on heating and grinding. The main results obtained were as follows: (1) Recrystallization of galena on gentle heating was clearly observed from diffraction peak profile, and the crystallinity was increased in ...

Quantitative leaching of galena

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2000
Abstract (Received September 25, 1999; revised January 19, 2000) Experiments on the quantitative leaching of lead from galena in hydrochloric acid solutions are reported. The effects of contact time, acid concentration, number of leaching stages, solid to liquid ratio, particle size, temperature, and stirring speed, on the leaching reaction are ...
