The Many Pathways of Mining Impacts on Biodiversity

open access: yesConservation Letters, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Mining is a significant driver of biodiversity loss, with impacts expected to escalate due to rising metal demand for the energy transition. However, global assessments of mining impacts are still in their infancy, as global biodiversity models overlook many relevant impact pathways.

Geochemistry and U–Pb Zircon Geochronology of Granite at the Pilok Sn–W Deposit, Thailand: Implications for Late Triassic Tin Metallogenesis

open access: yesResource Geology, Volume 76, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Zircon U–Pb dating constrains the Pilok Sn–W granite emplacement at 212–208 Ma, during the Late Triassic post‐collisional extension after the Sibumasu‐Indochina collision. This timing coincides with widespread tin‐bearing granite magmatism throughout Southeast Asia, marking a major regional metallogenic event. ABSTRACT The Pilok Sn–W deposit in western

The Effect of Time, Frother and Collector Concentration on the Purification of Ruwai Galena Ore via Agitated Froth Flotation: A Comparative Study with Column Flotation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Science and Engineering
Ruwai galena ore contains a high amount of lead (Pb) and a higher silver (Ag) content than similar ores. It indicates that Ruwai galena ore has excellent potential to be utilized as a prospective source of Ag .

Occurrence and Geochemistry of REE Minerals From the Western Part of the Lugiin Gol Carbonatite Deposit, Southeast Mongolia

open access: yesResource Geology, Volume 76, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The western Lugiin Gol REE deposit, related to the Lugiin Gol alkali intrusive complex, consists of carbonatites filling NE‐trending fractures in sedimentary rock. The carbonatites are dominated by carbonate minerals and fluorite and host REE fluorocarbonates, including synchysite‐(Ce), bastnaesite‐(Ce), parisite‐(Ce), and synchysite–bastnaesite ...

Mineralogical and Geochemical Characteristics of the Gudang Handak Vein Group in the Pongkor Au‐Ag Deposit, West Java, Indonesia

open access: yesResource Geology, Volume 76, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The microtextural variations of quartz, which range from granular to feathery and microcrystalline forms, show a clear correlation between quartz geochemistry and gold grade, revealing that specific quartz textures are closely associated with higher gold concentrations in the Gudang Handak vein samples.
