Some aspects of the intellectual relations between Galileo and the Jesuits [PDF]
During the years from 1616 (when the Decree prohibiting two Copernican propositions was issued by the Congregation of the Index) to 1623 (when Galileo published The Assayer) Jesuits of the Roman College made several attempts to draw Galileo into further

Workflow of the work. (1) Human muscle biopsies were collected, and the human muscle precursor cells (hMPC) were isolated, followed by co‐culture with human monocytes (THP‐1). In parallel, human muscles were decellularised to obtain an extracellular matrix (ECM) free of cells. ECM were recellularised by injecting hMPC and THP1 into the matrix.

A body moving in a fluid experiences some of the fluid‐induced forces, which may derail the body from its fluid‐free trajectory and consequently transform its maximum height reached, time of flight, and range. These forces include upthrust, drag, and lift. Other than upthrust, an accurate description of drag and lift remains uncertain.

Low‐Energy Atomic Scattering: S‐Wave Relation Between the Interaction Potential and the Phase Shift
The validity of the on‐shell approximation for s‐wave scattering is examined across one, two, and three dimensions using exactly solvable model interaction potentials. By comparing exact and approximate s‐wave components of the interaction potential, the analysis reveals that the approximation improves with increasing momentum and decreasing ...
