Rozprawa o przypływach i odpływach morza

open access: yesZagadnienia Filozoficzne w Nauce, 2014
The paper presents the first polish translation (by Tadeusz Sierotowicz) of Galileo’s letter on tides written in the begining of the year 1616 to cardinal Alessandro Orsini. The text of translation is organized in a new way, and integrated with the index

On the off-shell formulation of N = 2 supergravity with tensor multiplets

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We revisit the construction of N = 2 superconformal multiplets using rheonomic superspace techniques. We apply the result to the derivation of off-shell Poincaré supersymmetric models where a tensor multiplet couples to gravity and to an arbitrary number

Low‐Energy Atomic Scattering: S‐Wave Relation Between the Interaction Potential and the Phase Shift

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 11, November 2025.
The validity of the on‐shell approximation for s‐wave scattering is examined across one, two, and three dimensions using exactly solvable model interaction potentials. By comparing exact and approximate s‐wave components of the interaction potential, the analysis reveals that the approximation improves with increasing momentum and decreasing ...

Non-extremal superdescendants of the D1D5 CFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We construct solutions of IIB supergravity dual to non-supersymmetric states of the D1D5 system. These solutions are constructed as perturbations carrying both left and right moving momentum around the maximally rotating D1D5 ground state at linear order.

JWST Imaging of the Closest Globular Clusters—VI. The Lowest‐Mass Objects in M 4 and the Galactic Bulge

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 346, Issue 9, November 2025.
ABSTRACT We present James Webb Space Telescope observations of M 4—the closest globular cluster—that probe the lower Main Sequence down to the hydrogen‐burning limit. The unveiled stellar sequence reaches much fainter luminosities than previously possible, revealing a few extremely red objects that are consistent with brown dwarfs as cool as Teff∼1000K$

Unveiling the progenitor of SN 2023ixf: Circumstellar dust and its implications for the red supergiant problem

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
The nearby Type II supernova SN 2023ixf offers a critical test of the long-standing ‘red supergiant problem’ – the apparent absence of high-mass red-supergiant progenitors in pre-explosion imaging.

Stemflow Hydrodynamics

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 63, Issue 3, September 2025.
Abstract Stemflow hydrodynamics is the study of water movement along the exterior surface area of plants. Its primary goal is to describe water velocity and water depth along the stem surface area. Its significance in enriching the rhizosphere with water and nutrients is not in dispute.

How many fluxes fit in an EFT?

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We extend the recent construction of 4d N = 1 $$ \mathcal{N}=1 $$ three-form Lagrangians by including the most general three-form multiplets necessary to reproduce any F-term potential in string flux compactifications.

ALL THAT GLITTERS: THE MANY OBJECTS OF ROME'S MUSEUM OF CIVILIZATIONS

open access: yesHistory and Theory, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 422-452, September 2025.
ABSTRACT This review article examines the various methodologies practiced by Rome's Museum of Civilizations (Museo delle Civiltà) to discuss the contemporary curatorial approaches of traditional ethnographic museums. It adopts a historical and comparative perspective to situate the diverse collections within ongoing debates about art restitution.
