GALLIUM-68 RADIOPHARMACY IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE
Gallium-68 (68Ga) is a positron-emitting radionuclide that has gained prominence in nuclear medicine due to its exceptional versatility in diagnostic imaging and theranostics. Its unique physical and chemical properties make it ideal for PET imaging, especially in cancer diagnostics.Mehmonov, G. +2 more

Expanding Role for Gallium-68 PET Imaging in Oncology
Seminars in Nuclear MedicineGallium-68 has gained substantial momentum since 2003 as a versatile radiometal that is extremely useful for application in the development of novel oncology targeting diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals. It is available through both generator produced radioactivity and via cyclotron production methods and can therefore be implemented in either small- or ...

A new germanium-63/gallium-68 generator.
Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 1978A germanium-gallium generator producing EDTA-free Ga-68 would permit the synthesis of a broad range of Ga-68 radiopharmaceuticals and thus facilitate the widespread application of positron tomography. We have investigated a solvent-extraction generator system producing the weak complex of Ga-68 with 8-hydroxyquinoline (Ga-68 oxine), free of EDTA.

A new generator for ionic gallium-68.
Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 1980To meet the needs created by the rapid development of positron tomographic techniques, a new Ge-68 leads to Ga-68 generator has been developed. By elution under reduced pressure, this tin dioxide/1 N HCl generator provides a sterile solution of Ga-68 in ionic form, ready for use in the preparation of many radiopharmaceuticals.

Gallium-68 lipophilic complexes for labeling platelets.
Journal of nuclear medicine : official publication, Society of Nuclear Medicine, 1986Generator produced 68Ga-labeled platelets could be useful for positron emission tomographic (PET) studies of thrombosis or atherosclerosis. To label platelets with 68Ga, we have studied the effects of trace metals in elutions of 68Ga from 68Ge. Studies were conducted on the formation of lipophilic 68Ga complexes 8-hydroxyquinoline, tropolone, and ...
