A new topology for an unidirectional galvanic isolated combined converter
2016 IEEE 2nd Annual Southern Power Electronics Conference (SPEC), 2016Global warming might be one of the driving forces to develop electrical drive trains due to the ability of being powered 100% renewable. However, cost reasons are still a driving issue. Referring to electrical based powertrains, they rely on two separate power nets.

Dual oscilloscope interface with a galvanic isolation
2014This paper deals with a design and construction of a dual-channel oscilloscope interface which enables concurrent measurement of voltage and current waveforms up to 30 kHz. The operation of the unit is based on a capacitive coupling through and isolation barrier inside a custom integrated circuit. The construction is cheap and easy to be bulit.

MMIC-to-waveguide transition at 160 GHz with galvanic isolation
2016 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS), 2016In this paper a new approach for a monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) to rectangular waveguide transition is presented, which has no need for a specific package. The transition uses a partly integrated antenna with a patch radiator and a tapered dielectric waveguide to guide the wave into a widened metallic waveguide.

Fuzzy-Based-Cascaded-Multilevel Inverter Topology with Galvanic Isolation
2019The key issues regarding the “multilevel inverters (MLI)” is as follows: reduction of number of “switches” that are used in structure, on the other hand increasing the levels that are in output, multiple DC supplies that are being used for the MLI’s. “This paper gives latest method of providing, the device count reduction technique and also overcomes ...

Note: Galvanic isolated voltage source using a single photodiode
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2010A galvanic isolated voltage source able to provide several volts by using a single photodiode is described. A pulse-modulated laser beam is sent to a photodiode. By using a step-up transformer the amplitude of the variable voltage generated by the photodiode is increased. Adding a rectifier cell the variable voltage is converted back into a dc voltage.

Minimization of conduction losses in the boost converter with galvanic isolation
Twenty-Third International Telecommunications Energy Conference. INTELEC 2001, 2001The boost structure allows the minimization of the current constraints in the switch. It is possible to include a transformer in a boost structure and several isolated topologies are well known. In general, lot of switches are necessary but the advantage of little current in each one is conserved. Unfortunately, the boost and its derived structures don'

A galvanic isolation circuit, corresponding system and method
2016A galvanic isolation circuit (GI) includes a differential transformer (20) having primary (21) and secondary (22) windings for transmission of signals over a carrier (DT) between the primary (21) and the secondary (22) windings of the transformer. The primary (21) and secondary (22) windings have a galvanic isolation oxide layer (23) therebetween and ...
