Galvanic sensor for determination of hydrogen sulfide

Electroanalysis, 1994
AbstractA galvanic cell for trace determination of hydrogen sulfide in gases is presented. The cell covers the range from 30 ppb to some hundred ppm. It is characterized by simple construction. The use of ferricyanide/ferrocyanide ions as a redox mediator system ensures very low cross sensitivity. The sensor is well‐suited for mobile use.

Failure prediction for a galvanic oxygen sensor

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2001
Abstract Electrochemical oxygen sensors are widely used for industrial hygiene applications to monitor potentially dangerous conditions due to oxygen deficiency or excess. Oxygen sensors of the galvanic type operate by consumption of an internal, easily oxidizable anode.

Galvanic Cell Type Sensor for Soil Moisture Analysis

open access: yesAnalytical Chemistry, 2015
Here we report the first potentiometric sensor for soil moisture analysis by bringing in the concept of Galvanic cells wherein the redox energies of Al and conducting polyaniline are exploited to design a battery type sensor. The sensor consists of only simple architectural components, and as such they are inexpensive and lightweight, making it ...

Galvanic-type electrochemical sensor for determining the content of hydrohalogens in the air

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2003
Abstract A galvanic-type amperometric sensor based on manganese dioxide gas-diffusion electrodes has been created for determining the concentration of hydrohalogens (HCl, HBr, HF) in the air. The sensor works on the principle of solid phase reduction of manganese dioxide at the indicator electrode with simultaneous absorption of hydrohalogens from ...
