Heterogeneous Facility Location Games
We study heterogeneous $k$-facility location games. In this model there are $k$ facilities where each facility serves a different purpose. Thus, the preferences of the agents over the facilities can vary arbitrarily. Our goal is to design strategy proof mechanisms that place the facilities in a way to maximize the minimum utility among the agents. For $

High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

gEYEded: Subtle and Challenging Gaze-Based Player Guidance in Exploration Games
This paper investigates the effects of gaze-based player guidance on the perceived game experience, performance, and challenge in a first-person exploration game. In contrast to existing research, the proposed approach takes the game context into account

Serving by local consensus in the public service location game
We discuss the issue of distributed and cooperative decision-making in a network game of public service location. Each node of the network can choose to be a provider of service which is accessible to the provider itself and also to all the neighboring ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

Software for the Computation of Markov-Perfect Equilibria in a Dynamic Game of Store Location by Multi-Store Firms [PDF]
This document is a supplement of the paper "Dynamic Spatial Competition Between Multi-Store Firms" by Aguirregabiria and Vicentini (2007). It describes in detail the library of programs and procedures, in GAUSS language, that is used in that paper.

Removing Oxide Layers and Retaining Oxide‐Free Steel Surfaces by Polishing in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this study, the efficacy of wet mechanical polishing under an oxygen‐free atmosphere for deoxidation and the retention of an oxide‐free steel surface are elucidated using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The methodology proved successful; however, the results were highly dependent on the preparation of the solvents used to clean the samples after ...

This article reports on the design and evaluation of player experiences in relation to a location-based game (LBG). LBGs seek to move gamified play into the “real world” of cities, parks, and other locations.

Optimal Actuator Location of the Minimum Norm Controls for Stochastic Heat Equations
In this paper, we study the approximate controllability for the stochastic heat equation over measurable sets, and the optimal actuator location of the minimum norm controls.
