Focusing on facilitation: Issues and challenges of capacity development in Indonesia’s social forestry reforms [PDF]

open access: yesForest and Society, 2019
As the Indonesian government sets a target to allocate 12.7 million ha of state forest land for social forestry in 2019, one of the most crucial [and overlooked] issues is the extent of capacity, knowledge, skills, and engagement of social forestry ...

Early magnetic resonance image volumetric changes of vestibular schwannoma after Gamma Knife radiosurgery: a prospective study of 18 cases

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Neurosurgery, 2018
Background Gamma Knife radiosurgery is the principal alternative to microsurgical resection for acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas). However; its increasing use worldwide and evolution of Gamma Knife device precision and safety had led to its ...

gamma* gamma to pi0 transition and asymptotics of gamma* gamma and gamma* gamma* transitions of unflavored pseudoscalar mesons

open access: yesPhysics letters. B, 1999
For the spacelike momenta k of the virtual photon gamma^*, the pi^0(p) gamma^*(k) gamma(k') transition form factor is considered in the coupled Schwinger-Dyson and Bethe-Salpeter approach in conjunction with the generalized impulse approximation using the dressed quark-photon-quark vertices of the Ball-Chiu and Curtis-Pennington type.

Status of gamma-gamma and gamma-electron colliders [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2000
This report on Photon Colliders briefly reviews three main issues: physics motivation, possible parameters and technical feasibility, plans of works and international cooperation. New scheme of laser optics at the interaction region is described which can drastically (at least by one order) reduce the cost of the laser system.

The Bayesian Posterior and Marginal Densities of the Hierarchical Gamma–Gamma, Gamma–Inverse Gamma, Inverse Gamma–Gamma, and Inverse Gamma–Inverse Gamma Models with Conjugate Priors

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Positive, continuous, and right-skewed data are fit by a mixture of gamma and inverse gamma distributions. For 16 hierarchical models of gamma and inverse gamma distributions, there are only 8 of them that have conjugate priors. We first discuss some common typical problems for the eight hierarchical models that do not have conjugate priors.

The $\gamma \gamma \to \gamma \gamma $ process in the standard and SUSY models at high energies [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 1999
We study the helicity amplitudes of the process γγ\to γγat high energy, which in the standard and SUSY models first arise at the one-loop order. In the standard model (SM), the diagrams involve W and charged quark and lepton loops, while in SUSY we also have contributions from chargino, charged sfermion and Higgs loop diagrams.

A randomised trial to compare cognitive outcome after gamma knife radiosurgery versus whole brain radiation therapy in patients with multiple brain metastases: research protocol CAR-study B

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2018
Background Gamma Knife radiosurgery (GKRS) is increasingly applied in patients with multiple brain metastases and is expected to have less adverse effects in cognitive functioning than whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT).

Effect of Different Water Sources on Pond Water Quality, Growth, and Production Performance of Whiteleg Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in Deeba Triangle, Egypt: A Comparative Field Study [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Medical Journal - Giza
Shrimp aquaculture, particularly of Litopenaeus vannamei, is a vital component of global food systems and is rapidly expanding in regions like Egypt’s Deeba Triangle, where variable water sources affect farm productivity.

Land subsidence and associated ground fracturing: study cases in central Mexico with ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 ScanSAR Interferometry [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, 2020
Land subsidence affects highly developed urban areas in central Mexico, where inhabitants rely on groundwater for about 60 % of water supply and most of the cities are located in volcanic valleys filled with fine and coarse grained sediments ...
