Abstract Aims Impaired insulin sensitivity is an under‐recognised risk in Type 1 diabetes but is challenging to measure with ‘gold‐standard’ euglycaemic clamps. Adding stable‐isotope glucose distinguishes hepatic and muscle insulin action (assessed by endogenous glucose production [EGP] and glucose infusion rate [GIR], respectively).

It is speculated that the onset of obesity‐related diseases follows the sequence of obesity → SLD → MetS‐related diseases. In this study, the contribution of SLD to each MetS‐related disease was large for T2D and hypertension and SLD contributed to the onset and new onset of the disease by the 7‐year follow‐up.

Validation of TRPA1 and TRPV1 Antibodies for Expression Detection in Mammalian Cells and Tissues
The performance of commercial antibodies against the ion channels TRPV1 and TRPA1 was systematically evaluated, given their key roles in nociception and inflammation. Sensitivity and specificity were assessed using immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and western blotting in heterologous and native expression systems.
