One of the solutions for density measurement is to make use of gamma-ray transmission technique. We studied by this technique, using by Co-60 and Cs-137. Each source, without materials in geometry, was counted and noted intensities as (I0). All materials were counted and noted intensities as (I). [I/I0] rates were calculated.

Off-Line Data Evaluation of Elemental Maps Obtained from Scanning Nuclear Microprobe Analyses [PDF]
The results of scanning nuclear microprobe (SNM) analyses are normally presented as elemental maps showing the number of detector events, acquired within a certain energy region, for every pixel irradiated.

In this study, we propose an approach using the gamma transmission technique based on the combination of the experimental and simulated data for determining the percentage concentration of the acid solution. The experiment consists of a collimated 137Cs radioactive source emitting a narrow gamma beam of 662 keV and a NaI(Tl) detector.

Gamma oscillation plasticity is mediated via parvalbumin interneurons
Understanding the plasticity of neuronal networks is an emerging field of (patho-) physiological research, yet the underlying cellular mechanisms remain poorly understood. Gamma oscillations (30 to 80 hertz), a biomarker of cognitive performance, require

For practical use of dual energy gamma-ray transmission techniques in various fields, necessary conditions have been examined experimentally. The study revealed the necessary conditions shown in the following : (1) the shape and size of the collimator aperture for a gamma-ray beam must be changed according to those of a sample to be measured, (2) a ...
