In Situ Confinement of 0D Halometallates Within Deep Eutectic Solvents: From Systematic Screening to Metal‐Tunable Luminescence for Anti‐Counterfeiting Eutectogels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report photostable, photoluminescent deep eutectic solvents (DESs) powered by in situ‐formed zero‐dimensional (0D) halometallates. Stabilized by microenvironment‐controlling hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) and donor (HBD) networks, these DESs exhibit vibrant, metal ion‐tunable emission (PLQY = 60.2%).

Water‐Enabled Ultralong Full‐Color Organic Phosphorescence in Hydrogen‐Bonded Frameworks for 4D Encryption and Bio‐Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Water‐induced quenching challenges organic RTP materials, but a counter‐intuitive strategy employs HOF to encapsulate carbonyl guests, where water functions as a structural reinforcer. This achieves water‐enhanced ultralong RTP with full‐color emission (blue to deep red), overcoming intracellular quenching for high‐signal cellular imaging, alongside 4D

All‐Solution‐Processed Perovskite Light‐Emitting Transistors Enabled by a Fully Organic Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Fully solution‐processed light‐emitting transistors based on CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals (Pe‐LETs) are demonstrated using an all‐organic platform. By optimizing film formation and device integration, the Pe‐LETs achieve bright green emission with excellent color purity and a peak external quantum efficiency of 4.17 × 10−3 %, marking a step forward ...

Local Search and the Evolution of World Models

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract An open question regarding how people develop their models of the world is how new candidates are generated for consideration out of infinitely many possibilities. We discuss the role that evolutionary mechanisms play in this process. Specifically, we argue that when it comes to developing a global world model, innovation is necessarily ...

Color Vision Improvement of Anomalous Trichromats Based on a Wide-Color-Gamut Display

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2022
Compared with normal color vision observers (NOs), anomalous trichromats (AT) have anomalous color vision responses owing to differences in cone sensitivity. The wide-color-gamut display provides a promising solution to this problem. Herein, we propose a

A Gamut of Games.

open access: yesAI Mag., 2001
In 1950, Claude Shannon published his seminal work on how to program a computer to play chess. Since then, developing game-playing programs that can compete with (and even exceed) the abilities of the human world champions has been a long-sought-after goal of the AI research community.

Quantifying the Sites of Government, Commercial, and Personal Systems‐Perpetrated Financial Abuse

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explores the institutional systems through which post‐separation financial abuse is perpetrated. While existing measures seek to quantify the harms experienced by women post‐separation, this study draws on financial, welfare and legal service casefiles to identify where such harms occur. Drawing on 76 de‐identified Victorian service

Image-brightness prediction model for wide-color-gamut displays based on Helmholtz–Kohlrausch (H–K) effect

open access: yesJournal of Information Display, 2021
A wider array of color gamut and higher luminance are increasingly offered by displays to provide users with immersive content. However, in the latest displays available, it is difficult to predict image brightness because the extensively used color ...
