Ganoderma pfeifferi – A European relative of Ganoderma lucidum
Phytochemistry, 2015In contrast to well-studied and broadly used Ganoderma species, such as Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma applanatum, knowledge regarding Ganoderma pfeifferi is very limited. Herein is an overview of the phytochemistry, biological activities and possible applications of this mushroom species. In addition to triterpenoids and polysaccharides, G. pfeifferi

The free radical scavenging and antihepatotoxic activity from Ganoderma lucidum, Ganoderma formosanum and Ganoderma neo-japonicum were studied. Treatment with the water extract of Ganoderma lucidum, Ganoderma formosanum and Ganoderma neo-japonicum caused a marked decrease in the CCl4-induced toxicity in rat liver, made evident by their effect on the ...

Ganoderma sessile is a fast polysaccharide producer among Ganoderma species
Mycologia, 2021The selection of fast-growing and high-yield-producing strains is required to satisfy the market demand on fungal food supplements. To that aim, three strains deposited in our collection as G. lucidum and G. oregonense were screened for polysaccharide production and biomass yield. Ganoderma strains deposited as G. lucidum were identified as G.

Ganoderma lucidum 灵芝 (Lingzhi, Ganoderma)
2015Ganoderma, also referred to as Lingzhi in Chinese, is the dried fruiting body of both (Leyss. Ex Fr.) Karst (Chizhi) and G. Zhao, Xu et Zhang (Zizhi) belonging to the family of Polyporaceae. Lingzhi has been recorded in the Chinese Pharmacopeia (2010) (Pharmacopoeia Committee of P. R. China in Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China (I).

[Comparison of the components of Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma japonicum].
Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2003By means of spectrophotometric methods, the contents of polysaccharides about Ganoderma lucidum (including mycelia) and Ganoderma japonicum are determined, HPLC and TLC methods for idntification of their triterpenic acids are given.

Journal of Chromatography A, 2001
The present paper describes the development of a micellar electrokinetic chromatographic method for the determination of nucleoside (adenosine, uridine) and base (uracil) markers in aqueous extracts of Ganoderma medicinal preparations. The markers were successfully separated within 10 min using an 80 mM borate buffer, with 25 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate ...
