Ganoderma sessile is a fast polysaccharide producer among Ganoderma species

Ganoderma lucidum 灵芝 (Lingzhi, Ganoderma)

Ganoderma, also referred to as Lingzhi in Chinese, is the dried fruiting body of both (Leyss. Ex Fr.) Karst (Chizhi) and G. Zhao, Xu et Zhang (Zizhi) belonging to the family of Polyporaceae. Lingzhi has been recorded in the Chinese Pharmacopeia (2010) (Pharmacopoeia Committee of P. R. China in Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China (I).
