Functions with Time and Frequency Gaps
The purpose of this note is to give an explicit and straightforward construction of functions in \(L^1\cap C^\infty(\mathbb{R})\) that have prescribed gaps around the origin in both time and frequency domain. These gaps can be chosen independently and of arbitrary size.

Convergence Results for History-Dependent Variational Inequalities
We consider a history-dependent variational inequality in a real Hilbert space, for which we recall an existence and uniqueness result. We associate this inequality with a gap function, together with two additional problems: a nonlinear equation and a ...

Multi-step prediction of zero series and gap series of Riemann zeta function
This paper reveals the chaotic characteristic of the zero-gap series of Riemann zeta function from a new perspective of chaotic dynamics, and addresses the multi-step prediction of the zero series and gap series using the proposed EMD-ELM (empirical mode

GAP FUNCTIONS FOR NONSMOOTH EQUILIBRIUM PROBLEMS [PDF]
We consider equilibrium problems (EP) with directionally differentiable (not necessarily ${\mathcal C}^1$) bifunctions which are convex with respect to the second variable and we use a gap function approach to solve them. In the first part of the paper we establish a condition under which any stationary point of the gap function solves (EP) and we ...

Bridging the knowledge gap: from microbiome composition to function
Despite the wealth of metagenomic sequencing data, the functions of most bacterial genes from the mammalian microbiota have remained poorly understood. In their recent study (Yaung et al 2015), Wang, Gerber, and colleagues present a platform which allows

Bloch and Gap Subharmonic Functions
Let \({\mathbb B}_\alpha\) be the class of all positive subharmonic functions \(u\) in the open unit ball \(B_N\) of the space \({\mathbb R}^N\) such that \(G_\alpha (u) = \sup_{x\in B_N} (1-\| x\| ^2)^\alpha u(x) < +\infty.\) The analogous class \({\mathbb A}_\alpha\) of holomorphic in the disc functions \(f\) is defined by the condition \(\sup_{| z ...

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

A Study on Mixed Variational-like Inequality Under Generalized Quasimonotonicity in Banach Spaces
This paper studies nonlinear mixed variational-like inequalities under generalized quasimonotone mappings in Banach spaces. The main objective of this work is to relax the well-known KKM (Knaster–Kuratowski–Mazurkiewicz) condition which is extensively ...

On Penalty and Gap Function Methods for Bilevel Equilibrium Problems
We consider bilevel pseudomonotone equilibrium problems. We use a penalty function to convert a bilevel problem into one-level ones. We generalize a pseudo-∇-monotonicity concept from ∇-monotonicity and prove that under pseudo-∇-monotonicity property any
