From Genomic and Epigenomic Maps to Medicines in Adult T-Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) is an aggressive and refractory hematologic malignancy that is caused by human T‐cell leukemia virus type‐1 (HTLV‐1) retrovirus. ATL results from a combination of viral latency and the accumulation of abnormalities throughout the genome, epigenome, transcriptome, and signaling pathways.

GARP as a Therapeutic Target for the Modulation of Regulatory T Cells in Cancer and Autoimmunity
Regulatory T cells (Treg) play a critical role in immune homeostasis by suppressing several aspects of the immune response. Herein, Glycoprotein A repetitions predominant (GARP), the docking receptor for latent transforming growth factor (LTGF-β), which ...

GARP is regulated by miRNAs and controls latent TGF-β1 production by human regulatory T cells. [PDF]
GARP is a transmembrane protein present on stimulated human regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs), but not on other T lymphocytes (Th cells). It presents the latent form of TGF-β1 on the Treg surface.

Identification of a regulatory T cell specific cell surface molecule that mediates suppressive signals and induces Foxp3 expression. [PDF]
Regulatory T (T(reg)) cells control immune activation and maintain tolerance. How T(regs) mediate their suppressive function is unclear. Here we identified a cell surface molecule, called GARP, (or LRRC32), which within T cells is specifically expressed ...

Investigating the Effects of Frontotemporal Dementia‐Linked Genetic Mutations on Inequity Aversion Prior to Clinical Onset [PDF]
Abstract Background Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a neurodegenerative disorder associated with behavioral and cognitive impairments. This study hypothesized that individuals carrying FTD‐linked genetic mutations exhibit altered inequity aversion compared to non‐carriers, even before clinical symptoms emerge.

Becker random behavior and the as-if defense of rational choice theory in demand analysis [PDF]
In discussing rational choice theory (RCT) as an explanation of demand behavior, Becker (1962, Journal of Political Economy, 70, 1–13) proposed a model of random choice in which consumers pick a bundle on their budget line according to a uniform ...
