Gas Holdup in a Slurry Bubble Column: Influence of Electrolyte and Carbon Particles
This study deals with the effects of electrolyte and particle concns. on the gas holdup in both the homogeneous and the heterogeneous flow regimes in a slurry bubble column. Gas holdup measurements and video recordings of the bubble behavior were carried

This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...

EFFECT OF GAS DISTRIBUTORS ON HOLDUP AND FLOW PATTERN IN BUBBLE COLUMNS
The effect of gas distributor on holdup and flow pattern was studied in bubble, bubble-slug and churn-slug flow patterns. Holdup increased linearly with superficial gas velocity and dropped suddenly at the transition due to coalescence of bubbles.

Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Russian gas imports in Europe: how does Gazprom reliability change the game?. [PDF]
Europe’s dependence on Russian gas imports has been the subject of increasing political concern after gas conflicts between Russia and Ukraine in 2006 and 2009. This paper assesses the potential impact of Russian unreliability on the European gas market,
