Hydrodynamic Characteristics of a Gas- Liquid –Solid Fluidized Bed Containing a Binary Mixture of Particles [PDF]
The present work is an experimental study on the effect of solid loading andsolid properties of both single and binary mixtures on the hydrodynamic parameters(gas holdup and bubble dynamics) of a fluidized bed bubble column. The experimentswere performed

Hydrodynamic character of internal-loop airlift reactor
Gas holdup and liquid circulation velocity are the mostly important hydrodynamic characters and state parameters of internal-loop airlift reactor. In this paper, the influence of gas holdup and liquid circulation velocity on the performance of the ...

Effect of Electrolyte Concentration on Bubble Size and Gas-Liquid Interfacial Area in Bubble Column
The optimum conditions of bubble column would be the ones that enhance mass transfer and this is accomplished by maximizing gas-liquid interfacial area. In the present work the effect of electrolyte concentration (aqueous solution of sodium chloride NaCl

Effect of Gas Distributor on Gas Holdup in Fiber Suspensions
Two different aeration plates are used to study their effect on gas holdup and flow regime transition in fiber suspensions. Two gas distributors with different open areas (A = 0.57% and 2.14%) and the same orifice diameter (do = 1 mm) are used, and experiments are performed using three different Rayon fiber lengths (L = 3, 6, and 12 mm) over a range of

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

As oil exploitation enters its middle and late stages, formation pressure drops, and crude oil degases. In production profile logging, the presence of the gas phase will affect the initial oil–water two-phase flowmeter’s flow measurement results.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
