EFFICIENT USE OF BIOMASS IN IMPROVED COOKSTOVES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2016
Traditional biomass cookstoves have very low efficiency. The improved cookstoves have very high efficiency. These improved cookstoves with high efficiency saves biomass fuels. Biomass can be saved in case of rocket elbow cookstoves. The amount of biomass

A Mixed‐Ligand Metal–Organic Framework Strategy to Construct High‐Density O/S‐Shelled Ag Nanoparticle Electrocatalysts for Syngas Modulation

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Mixed‐ligand Ag–triazole MOF precursors reconstruct into ligand‐shelled Ag nanoparticle electrocatalysts that retain detectable O/S‐derived interfacial species. By combining ligand‐ratio and potential control, the CO2‐to‐syngas output can be tuned across H2‐rich, near‐equimolar, and CO‐rich regimes.

Rapid Joule‐Heating‐Induced Non‐Equilibrium Exsolution in Perovskite Oxides for Enhanced Photothermal CO2 Methanation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Rapid Joule heating induces Ni—Fe exsolution from perovskite oxides, forming Ni–Fe/oxide heterointerfaces that enhance photothermal CO2 methanation activity and selectivity. Achieving selective CO2 methanation under photothermal conditions requires catalysts capable of maintaining non‐equilibrium interfacial states that balance reduction and oxidation ...

Liquid‐Mediated Kinetically Controlled Synthesis of Porous Carbon with Homogeneous Graphitic Networks for High‐Rate and High‐Loading Organic Supercapacitor

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Liquid‐mediated kinetic control reconstructs a “rigid–flexible” carbon precursor into homogeneously graphitized porous carbon. The resulting porous structure and homogeneous graphitic network accelerate ion/electron transport, enabling superior performance in high‐rate and high‐loading organic supercapacitors.

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Torrefied Municipal Solid Waste Using Local Iron for Improved Bio‐Oil Yield and Energy Efficiency

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Catalytic Pyrolysis of Torrefied Municipal Solid Waste to sustainable bio‐oil. ABSTRACT South Africa faces growing municipal solid waste (MSW) accumulation and energy insecurity due to fossil fuel dependence. Torrefaction improves MSW for waste‐to‐energy use, while conventional pyrolysis produces low‐quality oxygen‐rich bio‐oil.
