A two‐scale framework bridges process‐level physics and system‐level decision‐making for electrified green methanol production. Replacing computationally demanding reactor simulations with an interpretable symbolic‐regression surrogate enables rapid techno‐economic and life‐cycle assessment. The framework reveals how process performance propagates into

In the FlexSNG project, a fluidized-bed gasification process is developed that can co-produce biochar and good-quality synthesis gas and can also switch between two operation modes: (1) co-producing biochar and synthesis gas that is further converted to ...

A Bibliometric Review and Visualization of Research Progress in Computational Modeling for Biofuels
This bibliometric mapping of biomass‐to‐biofuel computational modeling research (2003–2025) traces the field's rapid growth, key contributors, and international collaboration networks, revealing a decisive shift toward multiscale, hybrid, and AI‐enabled modeling as the field's next frontier for sustainable biofuel production. ABSTRACT The conversion of

AbstractMost countries, including Japan, are focused on achieving net‐zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050, which requires quick action. Despite the increasing level of renewable power generation in power grids, fossil fuel power plants still have a significant role in producing GHG emissions, causing serious environmental issues.

New results of an innovative biomass gasifier
Traditional gasifiers are based on the engineering paradigm that gasification is linked to the lack of oxygen in the primary air flow. From a physics point of view, this paradigm cannot be understood: we therefore changed the approach, creating a ...

ABSTRACT Significant reductions in emissions of greenhouse gases, particularly N and C oxides, following the incorporation of biochar into soil have been repeatedly and independently reported over the past two decades. However, the underlying mechanisms responsible for these effects remain poorly understood.

ABSTRACT Rationale Quantum cascade laser absorption spectroscopy (QCLAS) is a fast and reliable method for analyzing the bulk (𝛿13C‐CH4, 𝛿D‐CH4) and clumped isotopic (∆13CH3D and ∆12CH2D2) composition of methane. However, precise measurements of ∆12CH2D2 require 0.5 to 1.8 mmol of purified methane (equivalent to 15 to 40 mL at STP).
